My schedule is full with several sports schedules, school activities, my business, etc…. When I was younger (did I really just use that phrase) I would excel when I had a lot on my plate. Now, I just get overwhelmed and forgetful. I am trying to keep a good calendar and not let myself get to busy and overwhelmed, but it may be crazy until school is over. So, I am going to need some extra help. I looked up Memory in my wonderful Reference Book and found some great suggestions!

Snow Cream
In North Texas we usually don’t get much snow. We usually get ice which is no fun! Today we got tons of good, powder snow.
We decide to try and make Snow Ice Cream. We set a large bowl out on the patio table and let snow accumulate. After the bowl was full, we brought it in. We made several different flavors.
Orange Dreamsicle (you could also try Lemon, Tangerine, Grapefruit, Lime, Citrus Fresh)
Chocolate Peppermint
We also made Chocolate and Vanilla
Snow Cream
Ingredients:
8 cups of fresh snow
1 cup of any kind of milk
1/3 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of Vanilla
For Chocolate: 1 teaspoon Cocoa Powder
For Chocolate Peppermint: 1 teaspoon Cocoa Powder, 2 drops of Peppermint Young Living oil
For Dreamsicle: 8 drops of Orange Young Living oil
Directions: Whisk together the milk, sugar, vanilla, flavorings of choice. Add 8 cups of fresh snow and stir well. That’s it! Enjoy!!
Good Morning Sunshine!
In November I bought myself some Young Living products that I had not tried with my Essential Rewards points. One of them was the Morning Start Bath & Shower Gel. It gets your day started right with an invigorating blend of the essential oils added to naturally cleansing and moisturizing botanicals. It has Lemongrass, Rosemary, Juniper, and Peppermint oil in it. It is non-toxic and free from chemicals & synthetic preservatives. I need all the help I can get in the mornings!
Love is in the air
It is time to start thinking about what to get your special someone for Valentines Day! Here ya go…you’re welcome!!
Attention: Pilots
I went to Starbucks yesterday to sit and fill out some paperwork before picking my kids up from school. There was only 1 table available in the whole place so I take my seat and start filling out the papers. (squirrel) I over hear the 2 men sitting next to me talk about how they are pilots and that one has Vertigo (Cedarwood) and the other struggles with allergies (LLPC) and getting stuffy. They both talk about how they are not supposed to fly when they aren’t feeling well or when they are on medicine. There was a little wall between us or I would have told them all about Young Living Essential Oils. (I probably wouldn’t have, but like to think I would have)
It did inspire me to make this…
If you are a Pilot or know a Pilot, please share. Young Living offers a natural alternative! No more missing flights!!

How to be a Teachers Pet
Check Yo Self…
Ha! I kid, I kid. This post is about attitudes. We all have them! Sometimes our children’s attitudes are a reflection of our own. Ouch!
I want to tackle those morning attitudes before they even start so they can be ready for a great school year. We will use Young Living Oils to help in any way they can.
Being organized and prepared is a key player in my happiness so I’m planning it out. Read this to get some ideas of what you need to have on your essential oil supply list.
My Plan of Action:
Night before –
*Take our vitamins (Super C, OmegaGize – Fish oil, MultiGreens, InnerDefense, Longevity, Life 5)
*Fill the kitchen diffuser the night before with a happy blend of Orange, Ylang Ylang & Lavender and have it ready to turn on as soon as I wake up to let the dog out. This is usually before the kids are awake.
*Fill the USB orb diffuser with water for the car ride to school. I’ll let them take turns picking which oil to use on the way to school.
*Have lunches and water bottles filled.
Morning –
*Apply peppermint to wake up. Drink my MindWise, Ningxia Red with Lemon oil and have my quiet time! (check out Jesus Calling if you want to start a quiet time and don’t know where to start)
*Fill the upstairs diffuser with Citrus Fresh, Peppermint or my favorite diffusing blend of Lime, Lemon Myrtle and Peppermint.
*Wake up the kids.
*Everyone get ready.
*Eat breakfast or drink smoothie!
*Apply Thieves to the bottom of all of our feet. Put shoes on and go.
Back to School EO’s
Have you started your Back to School shopping? I love new School Supplies.
Don’t forget to add Essential Oils to the supply list for a healthy, happy school year!
Quick Testimony: This past school year my kids did not miss school for being sick. Instead we took 2 days off to go to Disney World. This is huge!!! The year before my son missed so much school we got one of those nasty letters telling us he couldn’t miss anymore. He was sooooo sick, multiple times. This is why I am passionate about sharing Young Living Essential Oils with others. They have been such a huge change in our family wellness.
YLEO Supply List:
Lemon – Drink it in water, diffuse it during homework or study time for concentration, apply for sore throats, apply to help retain information
Thieves – apply daily to the spine or bottom of feet to boost immune system, add to a spoonful of honey or add to warm organic apple juice for a sore throat (we used thieves instead of getting flu shots this past year!)
Thieves Hand Purifier – equip each backpack with one, teach your children to apply before eating, after playtime, after coughing/sneezing/going to the bathroom…
Peppermint – get the kids energized in the morning by letting them sniff peppermint, apply for body temperature balancing/headaches/stomach aches
Peace & Calming – apply to ease back to school anxiousness and nervousness, apply on testing days, apply to a leather bracelet that they can wear all day long
Lavender – diffuse or mist on pillow to help get a good night sleep, apply to calm anxiousness and nervousness, apply to the sinuses when sneezy or stuffy
Purification – apply to a cotton ball and insert in smelly gym bag or shoes, apply to bug bites, diffuse throughout the house to keep the house smelling clean and fresh, make a room spray for each bathroom
Deep Relief – apply to sore muscles or injuries
Valor – apply for focus and confidence, apply on testing days
Melaluca A – add to shampoos to keep lice away
Vetiver – apply for ADD/ADHD challenges

Peppermint
It calms me down just thinking about Peppermint!
Peppermint was the first essential oil I ever used and what sold me on signing up for the Premium Starter Kit with Young Living.
Last June, I offered to help out with Wild Week (VBS for 5th and 6th graders) at our church. About day 3 I was hitting the VBS slump and was getting a headache. A friend had just purchased a Premium Starter Kit (PSK) and had it with her. She also had a reference book with her. I the oils and started smelling them and opened the reference book to headaches. Put a drop in my hand, rubbed it on my temples and then cupped my hands over my nose and took a deep breath. Within 5 minutes my headache was gone and did not return. I also had enough energy to make through the rest of the day with 5th and 6th graders. MIRACLE!
Also in June, my 8 year old son was playing baseball in the AAYBA World Series and he over heated. We had seen other kids that week overheat and leave in an ambulance or have to leave the field on the medic golf cart. So, naturally I was worried to say the least when it was my own son. A friend came running over with her Peppermint oil and told me to put a few drops on the back of his neck and his temples. Within 10 minutes his color was back and he was ready to play again. The medics were all so pleased at his recovery.
After these 2 experiences I knew I needed my own YL PSK and Reference book. It had been a rough school year for our son due to being diagnosed with Migraines, Asthma…struggling with Bronchitis and many other things and every breathing treatment made his lymph nodes in his armpits swell and it was very painful. We needed to try a natural alternative for his health.
I am proud to report that it has been almost a year and he only missed 1 day of school and that is because we went on a fabulous vacation to Disney World. He is reminded when anyone else is sick that God has blessed him with a very healthy year. He is also thankful for YL Peppermint and RC (another post). Any time he feels a headache symptom or even the slightest cough he will ask me for oils.
If you are interested in trying Peppermint or getting your own Young Living Premium Starter Kit, let me know.
